Icora workspace showing generation, editing, and publishing tools

Icora is built around one workflow: create or import visuals, turn them into clean assets, refine them in Studio, then export or publish them. If you are new to the platform, this guide gives you the shortest path to a useful first result.

What You Can Do in Icora

Generate

Create icons or illustrations with AI from a prompt and optional style reference.

Import & Vectorize

Upload raster images and convert them into editable vector assets.

Refine in Studio

Edit paths, colors, layers, smoothing, and export settings in the built-in editor.

Publish

List finished packs on the marketplace and earn credits from sales and remix activity.

Your First 10 Minutes

  • 1. Pick a starting point: Use AI generation if you want new ideas fast, or upload an image if you already have source artwork.
  • 2. Choose the right output goal: SVG is best for scalable icons and editable vectors. PNG is useful when you want raster output.
  • 3. Review the first result quickly: Accept the closest draft, then move into Studio for cleanup instead of over-prompting forever.
  • 4. Clean up the asset: Adjust shapes, colors, stroke weight, and composition until the set feels consistent.
  • 5. Export or publish: Export for your app/site, or package the project as a marketplace listing.

Credits, Projects, and Market Limits

Icora uses credits for certain AI-powered actions and uses plan limits for project count and marketplace listings. Free users can keep up to 3 projects and 1 marketplace listing. Starter raises that to 50 projects and 25 listings. Pro removes those practical limits.

Pro Tip

If you plan to sell regularly, check your tier before publishing. Royalty rate and marketplace listing limits both depend on your current plan.

Studio Basics

  • Toolbar: Use selection, pen, shape, and text tools to build or modify artwork.
  • Layers and properties: Fine-tune fills, strokes, hierarchy, and export behavior on the right side.
  • SVG cleanup: Run optimization before export when you want smaller, cleaner production assets.
  • Animation support: If your icon includes animation, Icora can keep the CSS animation embedded in the SVG.

Publishing a Pack

Publishing happens from a project. You choose a cover image, title, description, category, style label, price in credits, and remix policy. Icora publishes every processed item in that project as a single marketplace listing.

  • Category: Choose Icons or Illustrations.
  • Price: Set a free or paid credit price.
  • Cover image: Pick the project cover or one processed item as the marketplace thumbnail.
  • Remix policy: Allow paid remixing, free remixing, or disable remixing entirely.
  • Republishing: If remixing is enabled, you can decide whether remixes can be republished to the marketplace.

Supported Inputs and Outputs

The creation flow accepts image uploads through standard image file inputs, and marketplace exports are delivered as SVG or PNG depending on the asset mix in the project. For best tracing results, start with clean, high-contrast source images and avoid tiny or heavily compressed uploads.

If you only read two docs next, continue with the Credits & Royalties guide and the Local vs AI Tracing guide. Together they cover the two most common first-week questions: cost and output quality.
